It created a lot of buzz around its launch by showcasing never-before-seen features like a 360-degree camera and a heads-up display. Maruti Baleno test drive
The YouTuber had taken the demo vehicle to a Maruti dealership for a test drive. He mentions that there are quite a few relevant changes made to the premium sedan. This includes things like better steering tuning, a lighter clutch for easier city driving, better suspension and a better engine. Although this version of the Baleno was not supposed to feature any substantial mechanical changes, minor changes were made to the brakes and suspension system. Other than that, there is no change in the overall dimensions of the vehicle, but it is a bit heavier compared to the outgoing model. This could have been done in order to improve the build quality and safety rating.
The feature list of the new Baleno is also quite long. This includes things like a new Smart Pro+ infotainment system with the latest connectivity features, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ARKAMYS Premium audio system, head-up display, cruise control, sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel with multiple functions, 6 airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill holding assistance and many more.

The Baleno is powered by a 1.2-liter K-series petrol engine that produces 88PS and 113Nm of peak power and torque respectively. In addition to this engine, the possibility of choosing between a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT gearbox. The prices of the new Baleno vary between Rs 6.35 lakh and Rs 9.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The main rivals are the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and VW Polo.
