Apple announced a slew of new features for iOS at its WWDC 2022 event. One such must-have feature includes the ability to edit sent messages in iMessage.. Along with the editing capability, Apple is rolling out the option to unsend messages and mark threads as unread so they can be revisited later.
On iOS, the ability to edit or cancel a message will be available for 15 minutes. Once deleted, the message can be recovered for up to 30 days. The useful feature may have just made its way to Apple’s Message app, many instant messaging apps have offered this capability for some time now.

On Telegram, you can edit a message just by long pressing on a message. Select “edit” and get rid of those typos! It also works on Telegram for desktop. The app also has a “secret mode” in which all messages sent self-destruct.
Signal
Another app that has grown in popularity during the user privacy wave is Signal. Like Telegram, Signal has positioned itself as a viable alternative to apps owned by mega-corporations that rely on user data to generate revenue.

Signal is considered particularly secure for all types of communication and also offers the ability to delete messages on Android, iOS and Desktop.
By tapping on a message, you can “delete for everyone”. Please note that this option is only available for SMS sent within the last 3 hours. You can also use messages that disappear after the limit is over. Unfortunately, Signal does not yet allow you to edit your messages!
