Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Thursday launched a web portal for self-monitoring of compliance with dust control guidelines at construction and demolition sites in the capital.

“It is difficult to manually monitor all construction sites. We will try to put all of these sites on this web portal. Project promoters must self-check their compliance with dust control standards and upload a self-declaration to the portal every fortnight, ”said Rai.

The Commission of the Center for Air Quality Management previously asked Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to develop an online mechanism to monitor compliance with mitigation measures. dust by project promoters in the NCR.

All project promoters are required to register on the web portal.

Project leaders will be assigned grades based on their self-assessment. Action will be taken based on the rating. Notice will be served through the portal itself, he said.

The training will be completed by the end of October and the DPCC will begin monitoring compliance with dust control guidelines on construction sites through the web portal from November 1.
