Disney California Adventure has quietly taken the Web Slingers ride of the Avengers campus from a virtual queue to a waiting line at times of lower attendance as the Anaheim theme park prepares for rollout of the new paid Genie + line cutting service.
Disney California Adventure began using the hybrid virtual / standby queue for Web Slingers over the past week on rainy days which drew lower attendance. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure continue to offer traditional or virtual queues at some attractions, according to Disneyland officials.

The new Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure web attraction used a virtual queue to help manage the high demand when Avengers Campus debuted in June at Disney California Adventure.
Web Slingers uses gesture recognition technology to track cyclists’ body and eye movements as they throw virtual webs from their wrists on a mission to round up the spider robots that have escaped and rampaged over the Avengers campus.
Web Slingers ride operators now have the option to open the back-up queue for the attraction on days when the virtual queue is not needed. DCA will likely not initially announce any breaks in the Web Slingers’ virtual queue on a daily basis as the new procedure continues to unfold.

Disney California Adventure is distributing virtual boarding party return times for the Web Slingers attraction at 7 a.m. and noon each day through the Disneyland app.
All Web Slingers virtual queue boarding groups issued each day will be honored during the return window time period – even if the standby queue is activated later in the day.
Ride operators might decide that the distribution of the boarding group in virtual queue at noon is not necessary – which should indicate to informed visitors that Web Slingers is operating that day with a waiting queue. waiting.
Another clue that Web Slingers works with a waiting queue on any given day: the wait times shown next to the attraction in the Disneyland app. If the crowds are small, expect the Web Slingers queue to be available between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Web Slingers will be one of the paid individual Lightning Lane attractions that will be available through Disney Genie + when the new service launches later this fall as part of the Disneyland mobile app. Prices should be between $ 7 and $ 15 each way. Virtual or stand-by queues will still be available for attractions that offer the individual Lightning Lane option to step into the foreground.
Other attractions offering the individual Lightning Lane option for a fee: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Radiator Springs Racers in DCA’s Cars Land.
Rise of the Resistance continues to use a virtual queue – which has been in place since the popular Star Wars attraction launched in January 2020.
