Binance, the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has added Europol dark web specialist Nils Anderson RoÃ«d to its investigation and audit team. He is the latest in a string of high-profile hires meant to quell the clamor created by global regulators, who recently put Binance under the microscope. RoÃ«d’s achievements so far
RoÃ«d has worked with law enforcement in high-profile cases before and was the project manager of the Dark Web unit of the Dutch National Police, as well as Operation Gravesac / Bayonet, which destroyed Hansa Market and Alphabay. The latter role provided insight into illicit exchanges, which enabled other law enforcement agencies to make arrests related to crypto-crime.
