Hyderabad Police to Check Dark Web Recordings

Hyderabad: A day after a client discovered a hidden camera in the women’s restroom at One Drive-in restaurant in Hyderabad’s upscale Jubilee Hills, police plan to sweep social media, websites and even the dark web to see if the suspect had released any of his tapes.

Police said the cell phone had recordings of around five hours and several women who used the bathroom were filmed using the hidden camera phone. In addition to discovering the mobile of 18-year-old suspect, Bongarala Banerjee, police are also seeking help from cybersecurity experts and forensic science experts to examine the gadget.

Police are also suing the restaurant owner for his inability to control the activities of his employees. Jubilee Hills Police, as part of the intensification of the investigation into the case, also conducted a search of Banerjee’s home.
