Leading Web 3.0 Hollywood VFX Studio Leverages Polygon to Launch User-Driven TV Show

A selection of Hollywood VFX heavyweights facing Sins of Shadow – an extensive cinematic NFT metaverse created by Sombra will use Polygon’s scaling solutions to create various features of the SINS universe

NEW YORK, NY/ACCESSWIRE/April 28, 2022/ Dark – the first Web 3.0 Hollywood VFX studio and its flagship project sins – a non-fungible token (NFT), play-to-earn cinematic universe, has announced that it will integrate with Polygon, an Ethereum scaling platform integrating millions of people with Web3. Sombra will also benefit from the expertise of Polygon Studiosan organization that brings projects, brands, artists and content creators to Web3 through investments, marketing, developers and community support.

Upon initial launch on Ethereum, Sombra decided to integrate with the carbon-neutral Polygon network as a sustainable, low-cost base of operations to grow the Sins of Shadow ecosystem.

Sombra will join an established list of top-notch games and NFT apps already running on Polygon, including OpenSea, Upshot, Aavegotchi, Zed Run, Skyweaver from Horizon Games, Decentraland, Megacryptopolis, Neon District, Cometh, and Decentral.

Sins of Shadow, launched in January 2022 and led by Sombra, features a VR NFT TV show and P2E open-world game. The platform will drop 7,777 genetically generated and hand-drawn 2D avatar cards by the Sombra team, which will serve as the key for users to enter the SINS world. After creating each PFP, users will also be able to choose a name and story for their avatar which will create a truly immersive experience. The platform also plans to introduce rewards and prizes for ownership and participation.

The newly released project aspires to change the way communities interact with video games and television storytelling through the ability to engage with narrative in an unprecedented way. Aiming to achieve this goal through a phased approach, the first phase involves the release of NFT avatars, with active involvement in the project’s narrative in the pipeline.

Each owner of a SINS NFT will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the narrative development based on their own opinions and actions in a “good faith system”, whereby if a user misbehaves in-game, it will be reflected in the script.

Sombra is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) NFT, VFX, and Design specializing in content creation, building decentralized applications (dApps), and bringing Hollywood-quality VFX to Web3. Sombra is the brainchild of some of Hollywood’s most accomplished VFX studio partners. Some of the project’s heavy hitters include founder Brendan O’Neil – who is also the founder of award-winning New York VFX studio – Bonfire VFX, with former clients including the NFL, Pepsi, Beyonce and Samsung. Demian Gordon, another partner of Sombra, holds several patents on many pioneering mocap technologies and films such as The Matrix, Spiderman, Polar Express, etc. he also led gaming teams behind projects like Resident Evil and God of War.

Brendan O’Neil, Founder of Sombra and Sins of Shadow, said, “Being able to utilize the scaling capabilities available on Polygon will really allow us to take our platform to the next level. Projects slated for release in the future will be strengthened by this partnership with Polygon and will enable millions of users to access our cinematic NFT and VR experiences.

Brian Trunzo, Head of Metaverse at Polygon, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Sombra and SINS to the Polygon channel. Our frictionless, fast and very low cost platform will provide Sombra and Sins of Shadow with all the tools needed to bring more users to the platform. The quality of talent behind the project promises to create a big impact in the booming Web3 gaming industry. »

Sins of Shadow aims to lay down a cinematic masterpiece that can be experienced as an NFT video or as a VR experience in the near future. With the planned airdrops on Polygon, this will allow more users to access the platform.

377 NFT Genesis will be available on May 4. Another 5,000 will come on May 21.
