The Microsoft Remote Desktop app now receives an update on Mac and iOS. The latest update upgrades the macOS Microsoft Remote Desktop client to version 10.7.0, while the iOS client is now updated to version 10.3.4.
The latest update includes improvements to Azure Virtual Desktop, support for keyboard navigation during the PC / remote application session switch, support for RemoteApp local window dragging, and more. You can read the full official changelog below.
Update the changelog for the Mac Remote Desktop client
- Invertible sliders (like the I-Beam) are now underlined to make them visible against dark backgrounds.
- The underlying code supporting the Connection Center (PCs and workspaces) has been significantly improved.
- Added support for moving local window in RemoteApp scenarios.
- Updated the Connection Info dialog box (Connections> Show Connection Info).
- Added screenshot protection for Azure Virtual Desktop scenarios (https://aka.ms/avdscp).
- Fixed a design flaw that allowed folders to be redirected multiple times.
- Addressed reliability issues identified through crash reports and comments.
- Updated Help> Submit Comments to access a new support forum.
- Additionally, we continued to make updates to improve security, connectivity, and performance measures when connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop.
Update the changelog for the iOS Remote Desktop client
- The home indicator now hides automatically when using a trackpad or mouse.
- Added support for keyboard navigation on PC and switch in remote applications session.
- Horizontal mouse scrolling behavior aligned with the current vertical scrolling behavior.
- Removed an unwanted slide animation that sometimes appeared when starting or returning to a session.
- Fixed a bug where the orientation of the connection bar was not properly aligned with the device.
- Updated Help> Submit Comments to access a new support forum.
- Additionally, we continued to make updates to improve connectivity and performance metrics when connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop.
