Movies and web shows to watch in October 2021

With the pandemic showing signs of slowing down, things are getting closer to normal. With theaters reopening across the country and theaters announced in Maharashtra to open by the end of this month, there are plenty of big-ticket movies set to hit theaters. But the OTT trend has shown no signs of slowing down. Many people still prefer to watch movies and web series from the comfort of their own homes. October 2021 is shaping up to be good, with a slew of films and web-series. Here is a list.

Shiddat

Release Date: October 1

OTT platform: Disney + Hotstar

Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty present this romantic drama which tells two parallel stories, one with Kaushal and Madan, and the other with Raina and Penty – from the director of Jannat Kunal Deshmukh. Delayed for a year due to COVID-19, Shiddat is skipping theaters for an OTT release.

Jake Gyllenhaal stars in the American remake of the stellar Danish film The Guilty – on a heartbreaking day of a 911 operator. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival is directed by Antoine Fuqua.

Little things season 4

The fourth and final season of Little Things starring Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar is about to be released. The story takes us through the delicate transition from a young love to a more mature relationship.

Taapsee Pannu plays a serial-winning track athlete who finds herself embroiled in a legal battle with the country’s sports federation after her ban due to hyperandrogenism. Priyanshu Painyuli, Abhishek Banerjee, Shweta Tripathi and Supriya Pathak also feature in this Akarsh Khurana director.
