The Torrington Telegram | Auditions open August 30 and 31 for “Charlotte’s Web”

TORRINGTON – The Goshen Community Theater invites all local actors to audition for Joseph Robinette’s performance of EB White’s book “Charlotte’s Web”.

A flyer issued by the Goshen Community Theater says adults and young people are required for performances October 27-30 and November 4-6. Auditions for the production will be held August 30 and 31 beginning each evening at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Eastern Wyoming College (EWC).

Erin Jespersen, president of the Goshen Community Theater, spoke about the show at the CEE board meeting on August 9.

“We’re back from a two-year hiatus due to COVID,” Jespersen said. “We’re having a show this fall, it’s going to be ‘Charlotte’s Web’.”

Jespersen said the theater is looking for both young people and adults to fill the roles in the play. Additionally, they seek to include students from local schools and CEEs.

“We hope to recoup community support,” Jespersen said. “Goshen Community Theater is EWC’s answer to theater because there is no theater program. We try to provide this for EWC students.
