Ukrzaliznytsia starts selling tickets through Apple messages for businesses and Facebook Messenger


The Ukrzaliznytsia joint-stock company started selling tickets through Apple Messages for Business and Facebook Messenger.

The company said so in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

“The Ukrzaliznytsia JSC has launched its official chatbot to sell tickets and send travel notifications to Apple Messages for Business and Facebook Messenger – in addition to the previously launched Viber and Telegram … Using Apple Messages for Business and Facebook Messenger, Ukrzaliznytsia passengers can already buy tickets for all long-distance trains and Intercity + high-speed trains, return tickets already purchased, view travel timetables and station table online, and also check on which the train is arriving, ”the press release said.

It is reported that the project was implemented on the basis of Corezoid Process Engine technology in collaboration with the technology partner of Ukrzaliznytsia – the company Middleware (USA) with the support of the payment partner – Visa.

As the Ukrainian news agency reported earlier, in October Ukrzaliznytsia opened ticket sales through the official chat bot of Viber and Telegram.

Ukrzaliznytsia ended 2020 with a loss of 11.9 billion UAH against a profit of 2.988 billion UAH in 2019.

Revenue from product sales in 2020 decreased by 16.7% or UAH 15.1 billion to UAH 75.292 billion compared to 2019.

Ukrzaliznytsia operates the Donetsk, Lviv, Odessa, South, Southwest and Prydniprovska railways, as well as other companies and organizations that facilitate the transport of goods and passengers.
