After creating waves as a high-octane action flick, Vidyut Jammwal’s star Commando is set to be adapted into a series on Disney Plus Hotstar. Supported by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the series will tell the action saga in an all new format.
The new show will showcase the adventures of Para SF Captain Karan Singh Dogra (originally played by Vidyut Jammwal) in finer detail, giving viewers a glimpse into his life and missions. Vipul is currently looking for a new face to play the lead role in the series.
Speaking about the upcoming show, Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, “It is an absolute pleasure and joy to expand the Commando action franchise into the OTT world. The franchise was very special because we launched the very talented Vidyut Jammwal and it became one of the most successful action franchises. It will be very exciting as it will be another experience with the same franchise that never happened in India. Commando as a movie only has Vidyut Jammwal but OTT will launch a new Commando. Also, action is a fairly unexplored genre on OTT in India, so in that sense, it will be new to OTT, so it will be fun to do. I’m thrilled to partner with Disney Plus Hotstar after Human because they’re an amazing team with great vision.
On the work side, Vidyut Jammwal was last seen at Khuda Hafiz 2.
