The Whatsapp web app can now receive messages without your phone being available. There can be no technical reason why a second phone couldn’t do this. It is more of a simple preference on the part of the company. It makes sense to me that if I have multiple devices, I should be able to connect to all of them rather than just one at a time. Whatsapp will actually block your account if you change your device too many times in a short period of time. It is simply absurd.
